Reporting to the Sr Vice President, Product Engineering. The Sr Director Technology Management will direct/manage/supervise the development of software configuration, release management and continuous integration and delivery initiatives.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee software configuration processes (infrastructure and applications), continuous integration, continuous delivery, and version control tools.
- Establish, document, implement, manage, and monitor the release management process in line with overall objectives, and ensure program-wide compliance for both normal and emergency (break/fix) operations.
- Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and meet expectations.
- Define exact content and roll out plan for a release, aligned with change management processes.
- Ensure end-to-end availability, security, and performance of mission-critical release practices and environments.
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to define build requirements and integrate build and release processes.
- Identify all applicable stakeholders per release and notify, communicate, and manage expectations during the planning and roll out of new releases. Second-level director. Leads the work of functional area(s) and through subordinate directors.
- Assists executives in defining organizational goals and strategic plans. Expert business knowledge with a comprehensive understanding of the organization and functional area(s). Accountable for the budget of their functional area(s).
- Development, ownership and Board-level reporting of the KPIs for their functional area(s).
- Comfortable reviewing data, asking probing questions, and presenting to Executive Leadership
- Manage a team of Managers overseeing projects across Cofense’ s Engineering and Product groups
- Foster a customer focused approach with the ability to multi-task and lead conflicting priorities with strategic goals in mind
- Demonstrated ability to deliver large tech refresh initiatives including Software (OS, DB, etc.) and Hardware platform upgrades across multiple environments, networks, and data centers
- Ability to scope initiatives quickly for planning and budgeting purposes, using data to analyze and prioritize efforts amid competing priorities and external factors
- Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers and Architects to plan, design, develop, and deliver hardware and software systems, platforms and solutions
- Responsible for handling and supervising program scope, schedule and budget while proactively mitigating risks that could impact turning points and work
- Comfortable leading discussions on initiatives, roadmaps, strategic objectives and the ability to transition from the high level to the details seamlessly
Education and/or Experience:
- 12 or more years of work experience along with a strong preference given for a bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology
- 8 or more years’ experience in technical leadership and personnel management, including second level management of multiple teams.
- Experience managing complex software development projects within an Agile framework (Scrum/Kanban).
- Ability to influence development teams and senior stakeholders to gain support for delivering program solutions against a standardized methodology
