This position is
on-site, located in Huntsville, AL.1st
Edge is searching for a motivated and experienced Frontend Software Engineer to join our development team. In this role you will work with the team to actively design and develop a variety of custom web-based products. You will be involved in the design and implementation of new user-facing features, translating designs and wireframes into high quality reusable code, and authoring automated tests.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following tasks:
- Agile software development in small, fast-paced groups
- Development duties include full software life-cycle tasks: requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and integration
Qualifications
Essential skills include:
- Strong proficiency with React and TypeScript
- Experience with NextJS
- Experience with git or similar source control system
- Understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
Desired skills include:
- Proficiency with Redux Toolkit
- Experience with CesiumJS
- Proficiency with web development deployment techniques
- Proficiency writing automated tests for end-to-end testing
- Experience with OWASP practices
