SMX is seeking a Systems Integration and Test Engineer to support USINDOPACOM J6 portfolio of programs. This position is onsite Camp H.M. Smith Marine Corps Base in Hawaii.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide technical analyses and define how the system works creating use cases, decomposing information assurance controls and defining system interfaces
- Assist the Enterprise Architect in determining how systems will be validated and verified
- Provide technical support for the execution of test programs and assurance assessments including test processes and baseline definition, test architecture design and verification activities
- Identify and develop automated test utilities that will compliment and/or collect information from continuous monitoring utilities
- Provide technical assistance in support of project demos and collaboration with external agencies/project stakeholders
- Assist the Enterprise Architect with the development of operating and integration procedures
- Identify integration milestones and develop backlogs of development activities in the form of Agile capabilities and features
- Assist in the development and planning of Agile stories decomposed from capabilities and features
- Assist with the design of DevSecOps in a developing Kubernetes cluster
- Establish effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Work with customer and partners to problem-solve and facilitate issues and situations
Required Skills, Experience & Education
- Required clearance: SECRET with eligibility for TS/SCI
- BA/BS in Engineering, or a related technical field OR Associate degree and additional experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's
- Minimum of 2-5 years of integration or test experience
- Experience with integration and test procedures and plans
- Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps development methods
- Understanding of automation techniques
- Experience with Linux or Unix command line execution
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages
- Ability to complete tasks within required timeframes with little to no supervision
- Expert at use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio and Project
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in multi-disciplined engineering development environments including cross-organizational workflows
- Experience with information security tools such as Elastic, Nessus, network intrusion devices, etc
Desired Skills, Experience & Education
- Experience with C5ISR systems or other advanced Gov’t mission systems
- Demonstrated regional and/or functional expertise or a working knowledge of high priority countries of interest to the United States Government
- Experience with RMF and/or DoD ZT Architecture
- Experience with USINDOPACOM
- Intra-agency or joint command experience
