We are seeking a highly motivated, analytical and experienced individual to join our team as the Revenue Performance Manager for our hotel portfolio. The Revenue Performance Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing our hotels' performance in the local market, ensuring effective market positioning, and driving top-line growth. This individual’s primary responsibilities will revolve around analyzing market conditions, assessing competitive environments, and providing strategic support to the asset management team. This role is also responsible for reviewing and monitoring forecast accuracy to enhance revenue performance.
Essential Functions for this Role:
Hotel Positioning Analysis:
- Conduct thorough reviews of individual hotel positioning within the local market.
- Develop a deep understanding of local market conditions, trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Collaborate with the asset management team to devise effective market positioning strategies.
Topline Performance Support:
- Provide strategic support to the asset management team to improve the topline performance of individual assets.
- Collaborate with hotel operators to optimize sales and marketing strategies, aligning them with market trends and benchmarks.
- Assist in the preparation of topline budgets and forecasts for individual hotels.
Portfolio Topline Performance Analysis:
- Analyze and assess the overall topline performance of the hotel portfolio, including market share and revenue analysis.
- Identify key areas for improvement and recommend actionable insights to enhance overall portfolio performance.
Forecast Accuracy Monitoring:
- Monitor and evaluate the accuracy of revenue forecasts, identifying discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure precise and reliable revenue forecasting.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Validate and map revenue-related data for accurate analysis.
- Take ownership of the Fairmas Reporting System and act as the primary contact for all system-related activities.
- Utilize the Fairmas Reporting System to generate insightful reports and analysis, providing valuable business intelligence to various teams within the organization.
- Manage the administration of tenant settings, including Hotel Setup, User Access Setup, Data Imports, Data Mapping, Reporting, and Data Exports.
- Along with the support of the Directors of Asset Management, act as a primary facilitator between Caliber Companies and Fairmas GmbH. Maintain a close working relationship with Fairmas’ counterparts and foster constant inter-company communication.
- Organize and provide day-to-day management for all SaaS and analytic outlets utilized by the hotel asset management team. In addition to the Fairmas Reporting System, this may include Dealpath, CoStar, and CRE, among others.
- Be available to supervise and implement ad-hoc projects that may relate to the aforementioned systems.
- Coordinate and track data transfers from Hotel Operators into the Fairmas systems.
- Perform data validation checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data received from Hotel Operators.
- Collaborate with Hotel Operators and internal teams to resolve data quality issues promptly.
- Facilitate data delivery to internal stakeholders, such as the Performance Assurance Team and Asset Management, to support decision-making processes.
- Among Caliber’s internal team, this role will prepare, present, and proliferate all relevant reporting, and highlight top-line performance trends and insights.
Hotel Revenue Expertise Training:
- Act as an internal trainer, sharing your knowledge in top line with team members.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or related field. A Hospitality focus is a plus.
- Proven experience in business intelligence, revenue management, or data analysis within the hospitality industry.
- Experience with major brands such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and Hyatt
- Proficiency in using Business Intelligence tools, with specific experience in Fairmas being a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey market analysis and performance recommendations to stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data mapping and validation techniques to ensure data accuracy.
- Working experience with industry relevant reports, including but not limited to, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, pick-up reports, and segmentation and mix-of-business reports.
- Familiarity with revenue management tools, hotel benchmarking, and forecasting methodologies.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
- An individual who works well in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and has an affinity for intelligence-based solutions. A professional interest in the lodging, travel, and hotel management industry is a plus.
- Clear, effective oral and written communication skills are required, must be careful listener and clear communicator.
