Accountant III - Accounts Receivables

o Perform all functions of Accounts Receivable (AR) operations including invoicing, follow up collections, review outstanding invoices on a day today basis for past due ones, receipt posting and application, credit memo application, account reconciliations and adjustments.o Perform monthly AR close process including reconciliation of AR sub-ledger to GL.o Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts to resolve billing/invoice inquiries, discrepancies, problems, etc and follow up with customers as necessary.o Review contracts or usage reports to ensure billing is correct and approved before submission to customers.o Research, assemble and provide necessary documentation to customer if needed.o Perform new customer setup including credit checks, forms and online accounts, as necessary.o Maintain project master data and project status trackers for schedule billing.o Review applicability of sales tax for billing and ensure correct tax code is used and manage exemption certificates received from customers.o Maintain the AR inbox daily, making sure all queries are addressed and complete daily cash applications.o Assist Accounting team with any ad hoc requests or responsibilities, including the monthly close process.o Support the annual financial statement audit by providing requested support to auditors.o Participate in Company special projects and initiatives.

o 4+ years of relevant experience in an AR functiono Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or related field preferredo Working knowledge and understanding of billing, collections, schedule billing, sales taxo Netsuite experience preferredo Experience with Avalara is a pluso Intermediate to advanced excel skillso Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and execute on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlineso Strong attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skillso Ability to handle high volume of data requiredo Strong organizational and time management skills
