Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team. In this position, you will play an essential role in scaling Lumotive’s patented light control Metasurface (LCM) technology to high volume manufacturing as well as building our unique LCM technology into cutting edge Lidar system prototypes. While prior experience is not required, a strong interest in emerging technologies and willingness to learn are essential. You will work closely with our team of experienced researchers and engineers to support the ramp to mass production of LCMs and system prototype build operations. Key Responsibilities:
LCM quality control: - Follow standard testing procedures to verify LCM performance and functionality.
- Assist in data analysis to monitor trends in key production metrics.
- LCM part intake and inventory:
- Manage and optimize database intake procedure for LCMs.
- Manage on-site LCM inventory and help meet customer delivery deadlines.
2. Lidar system prototyping:
- Prototyping hands-on tasks including opto-mechanical precision assembly, optical calibration, and opto-electrical test and measurement.
- Set up workbench and build fixtures for system assembly, calibration and test.
- Lidar system quality control and inventory management:
- Follow standard procedure for incoming quality control on prototype parts intake as well as outgoing quality control on engineering sample fulfillment.
- Manage system component inventory on-site and at contract manufacturer.
3. Operate and maintain specialized equipment:
- Learn to operate high volume custom made electro-optical test setups.
- Provide feedback to the engineering team for throughput improvements.
Qualifications
- A Post-secondary education from a 2-year technical college.
- Desire to learn about Lumotive’s core technology and a strong interest in scaling new technologies.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Prior experience with opto-electronics product is highly preferred.
- Able to work under general supervision.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
