Description
ARETUM is seeking a dynamic Scrum Master with expertise in Agile methodologies and cloud computing environments to support high-performing teams. The ideal candidate will facilitate Agile processes, empower teams to self-organize, and ensure alignment with project goals and best practices. This role requires strong interpersonal, organizational, and technical understanding to foster collaboration and deliver high-quality outcomes in a DevOps environment.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including project planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog maintenance.
- Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress to stakeholders.
- Maintain and update process documentation to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Support development teams in adhering to Agile principles and best practices.
- Assist with internal and external communication to improve transparency and radiate information.
- Proactively identify, prioritize, and resolve defects/bugs, ensuring smooth project progression.
- Develop and maintain team standards, tools, and best practices for continuous improvement.
- Identify and remove impediments, fostering an environment free from distractions.
- Conduct or participate in program retrospectives for both qualitative and quantitative improvements.
- Partner with Program and Project Managers to provide day-to-day technical oversight of projects.
- Empower teams to self-organize and promote accountability across all levels.
Requirements
- Certified Scrum Master with 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in cloud computing environments.
- Proven experience working in a DevOps environment.
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse personality types.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to understand technical issues at a high level.
- Effective communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Agile coaching experience with the ability to mentor teams on best practices.
- 5+ years of experience in critical thinking and problem-solving roles.
- Federal Government contracting experience.
- Familiarity with Section 508 compliance standards.
- Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or additional Agile certifications.
Additional Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Clearance: This position requires eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance as mandated by our federal client. U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required.
