Are you a rising junior/senior/graduate student looking to gain actuarial and/or analytics experience in a more interesting and unique casualty line as an actuarial intern in Summer 2025? We are looking for a driven candidate with strong analytical skills to help our department leverage new technology to generate insights and identify trends. Responsibilities:
- Conduct a member analysis that identifies trends between member groups and across variables.
- Support modernization of our actuarial reserve analysis.
- Assist in data aggregation for pricing analyses.
- Create reports for underwriting and other departments using UE’s enterprise data warehouse.
- Analyze loss and premium trends to understand loss ratio drivers.
- Support ad hoc data analysis and provide other support to actuarial and analytics staff as needed.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate rising junior/senior or graduate student who is seeking a degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, data science, or other analytical areas
- Proficiency in MS Office products, especially Excel. Experience in R and/or Python preferred
- Professional, confident, and appropriate communication and interpersonal skills, and a cooperative attitude with staff
- Good organizational and time management skills

The below annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.Salary Range$25—$25 USD
