This Summer Internship Program may for you if you are a motivated student or young professional looking for a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience working with a company whose mission is to help educational institutions recover from adversity and risks.The UE Summer Internship Program is designed to provide students with meaningful work experience within the insurance and education industries and provide UE with a diverse group of talented individuals for future long-term career opportunities.
This year’s program will run from May 19, 2025, through August 2025.As a UE intern in the Resolutions Department, your work will relate to litigation management on matters involving accidents on campus, discrimination, bullying, and more. Your responsibilities may include performing legal research, analyzing data and drafting reports on claims/claims trends, attending focus groups, mock trials, and/or mediation opportunities, and collaborating on developing resolution strategies to claims nationwide.
Requirements:
- Recent graduate or current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program, certified paralegal program, etc.
- Professional, adaptable, and positive attitude
- Strong research, analytical and time management skills - familiarity with LexisNexis is a plus
- Interest in the insurance, legal and/or medical industries - prior work experience is a plus
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills with a willingness to both collaborate and work independently in a hybrid team environment

Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.Salary Range$24—$24 USD
