United Educators is looking for a student working towards an associate or bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus in business or risk management, that is interested in learning more about the daily operations of a niche insurance company. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with the Underwriting, Risk Management, and Resolutions departments as they learn about the insurance industry, the education segment, and the day-to-day operations of the organization in the summer of 2025. Responsibilities:
- Work with individuals in the Underwriting department to learn about the products offered by the organization.
- Review submissions for accuracy and completion and work with brokers to follow up for any missing information.
- Shadow an underwriter and assist with the renewal of an account.
- Meet with individuals in other departments to learn about all aspects of the organization, particularly individuals in Resolutions (claims) and Risk Management.
- Respond to both internal and external inquiries on an as needed basis.
Requirements:
- Working towards an associate or bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business or risk management program
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrates the ability to overcome objections and create win/win situations with internal and external constituents

The below annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.Salary Range$24—$24 USD
