This is a fantastic opportunity for a designer to take the lead on impactful projects, contribute to innovative design solutions, and collaborate across multiple teams to enhance the user experience.As part of the design team, you will have the chance to shape critical aspects of Uphold’s platform, working directly on designing internal-facing tools and experiences that improve the overall platform. Your main focus will be creating elegant solutions that streamline processes and improve user interactions, both within the app and the wider Uphold ecosystem.Primary responsibilities:
- Design Product Experiences: Create intuitive, clear, and impactful product experiences that make financial services more transparent, efficient, and easy to understand for both internal users and customers.
- Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to iteratively design, prototype, and implement product solutions that address user needs. Use feedback and data to refine designs and validate concepts.
- User Flows and Interaction Design: Develop seamless user flows, interactions, and experiences across multiple platforms (web, mobile, and desktop), ensuring consistency and usability.
- Design System Stewardship: Help evolve and champion the Uphold Design System—a set of collaborative tools, processes, and assets that support a unified design language across products.
- Flexibility Across Projects: Take on varied design responsibilities, sometimes contributing to growth/marketing-related projects, depending on team needs.
- Mentorship (for Lead role): Provide guidance and support to junior designers, reviewing their work and helping them develop their skills within a collaborative environment.
Required qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on building products at consumer-focused tech or fintech companies.
- Strong portfolio showcasing product design work, particularly on consumer platforms (iOS, Android, Web).
- Proven ability to lead design projects, providing clear direction and guidance to cross-functional teams.
- Expertise in UX/UI best practices, user research, wireframing, prototyping, and designing for accessibility.
- Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Suite.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
Bonus if you have:
- Experience working in fintech or with financial services platforms as a product designer.
- Familiarity with blockchain or Web3 technologies.
