- Assist with month-end accounting close process
- Analyze transactions, prepare and post journal entries
- Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
- Prepare cash to revenue reconciliation monthly
- Generate and review financial reporting from proprietary financial systems
- Prepare and interpret financial statement analysis
- Assist with year-end financial audit
- Compile A/R and revenue transaction support for audit in a timely manner
- Oversee preparation and distribution of 1099s
- Ensure compliance with GAAP
- Initiate wire transfers
- Prepare manual checks
- Complies with federal and local legal requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- BA/BS in accounting or finance preferred
- 2-3+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Must have working knowledge of AP and AR
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Understanding of accounting best practices
- Knowledge of U.S GAAP
- High attention to detail
- Able to meet deadlines
- Produce work with a high level of accuracy
- Professionalism and organization skills
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and A/R subledger applications
- Handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner
