So, what’s the role all about?
The Snowflake Database Administrator will play a critical role in building and maintaining NICE Data Warehouse using Snowflake and will assume a major part in Cloud analytics transformation using modern BI tools and data modeling as well as involved in strategic cross-domains projects.you will monitor resource usage and implement strategies to optimize costs and drive performance optimization for data pipelines, queries, and resource management, ensuring that our Snowflake environment runs smoothly.
How will you make an impact?
- Administer and maintain the Snowflake environment, ensuring it runs smoothly and meets performance, scalability, and security standards.
- Monitor data pipelines, warehouses, and ensure optimal performance of the platform.
- Implement resource optimization strategies to control costs and improve efficiency.
- Perform Administrative tasks like DDL creation, user creation, account level parameter changes etc within Snowflake Database.
- Ensure proper data governance, security policies, and best practices are followed within Snowflake.
- Manage access controls and permissions, ensuring the right teams and users have appropriate data access.
- Build and refresh Snowflake environments.
- Configure and maintain data source connectors using Fivetran and CDATA
Have you got what it takes?
- BSc in Computer Science/ industrial engineering or equivalent
- 1+ years experience as Snowflake DBA and over all 3+ years as DBA.
- Hands on experience with Shell scripting and Python.
- Diagnose Database problems and implement Solutions.
- Experience working with Snowflake Support for raising tickets and triaging outages
- Be able to review DDLs and apply standards.
- Good Understanding of Snowflake ODBC, JDBC drivers as well as SnowSQL in terms of usage as well as troubleshooting any issues.
- Experience with Development Tools to create CI/CD
- Provide Technical Leadership, mentoring to the team
- On-call support on rotational basis
