Position Overview:
- Design, implement, and maintain desktop infrastructure, including installations, upgrades, and secure patch management.
- Create and tailor secure Windows OS images for diverse hardware configurations.
- Develop endpoint architectural designs for physical and virtual hardware environments.
- Conduct hardware, software, and infrastructure readiness assessments.
- Automate desktop management through scripting to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Support application packaging, deployment, and release control in an enterprise environment.
- Collaborate with Release Managers and Application Packagers to streamline operations.
- Maintain and update documentation, including system topology and troubleshooting guides.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Windows base images with customized operating system and GPO settings.
- Validate image integrity for all deployment scenarios (USB, network, bare metal re-imaging, etc.).
- Perform sanity testing and ensure compliance with customer requirements and quality guidelines.
- Stay updated on environmental changes that could impact deliverables.
- Open and manage hardware vendor incidents for supported platforms.
Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Endpoint Center Configuration Manager (MECM) for package creation, task sequences, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Windows Operating System Deployment (OSD) principles: Sysprep, WIM, automation, WinPE, PXE, and USMT.
- Experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and scripting for desktop management automation.
- CompTIA Security+ CE certification (required).
Preferred:
- Experience with SQL queries (a plus).
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
- Organizational skills, flexibility, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
