About the role
We’re looking for a Claim Adjuster who is excited about a unique opportunity to help build modern commercial insurance from the ground up!In this role, you will play a critical role in driving Nirvana’s world class claims organization by auditing and driving claim success through a third party claims administrator.
What you’ll do
Continuously exhibit and uphold the core values of Nirvana
Review coverage and damage analysis completed by the TPA
Review and provide input, as needed, on liability decisions and recovery opportunities
Collaborate with the Director of Claims on severity losses, reserve adjustments and claim evaluations
Provide recommendations on settlement negotiations and litigation management
Utilize data available to drive focus on claim trends
Collaborate effectively across all lines of business
Handle special projects or additional duties assigned related to your role as an individual contributor of the claims organization
About you
4+ years of experience in claim adjudication with a strong preference for experience in commercial auto and/or transportation
Active adjusters license in home or designated home state
Clear track record of over-achieving targets
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Bias-to-action - you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty and stretch yourself
Owner mentality - take accountability for your actions and results
Prior experience in a fast paced, high growth environment
Ability to successfully navigate in areas of gray
Strong collaborator with team members based across the country and the world
College degree or equivalent experience
