About the role
We’re looking for a Claim Adjuster who is excited about a unique opportunity to help build modern commercial insurance from the ground up!In this role, you will play a critical role in driving Nirvana’s world class claims organization by auditing and driving claim success through a third party claims administrator.
What you’ll do
- Continuously exhibit and uphold the core values of Nirvana
- Review coverage and damage analysis completed by the TPA
- Review and provide input, as needed, on liability decisions and recovery opportunities
- Collaborate with the Director of Claims on severity losses, reserve adjustments and claim evaluations
- Provide recommendations on settlement negotiations and litigation management
- Utilize data available to drive focus on claim trends
- Collaborate effectively across all lines of business
- Handle special projects or additional duties assigned related to your role as an individual contributor of the claims organization
About you
- 4+ years of experience in claim adjudication with a strong preference for experience in commercial auto and/or transportation
- Active adjusters license in home or designated home state
- Clear track record of over-achieving targets
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Bias-to-action - you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty and stretch yourself
- Owner mentality - take accountability for your actions and results
- Prior experience in a fast paced, high growth environment
- Ability to successfully navigate in areas of gray
- Strong collaborator with team members based across the country and the world
- College degree or equivalent experience
