About the Role:


Redhorse is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented International Lead to provide expert leadership and guidance for our International and Policy Directorate. This critical role involves strategic planning, policy advisement, and program execution for major international operational defense programs, significantly impacting our clients' ability to achieve national security objectives. You will lead a team, manage contracts, and influence key decisions within a complex and dynamic global environment.

This is a high-impact opportunity to shape international security policy and make a tangible difference in national defense.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide leadership, direction, and management support for the International and Policy Directorate.
  • Develop performance plans, rate employees, conduct interviews, manage reassignments, and administer disciplinary actions.
  • Identify developmental and training needs of employees and provide or arrange for necessary development and training.
  • Strategically address issues and implement plans for major international operational defense programs.
  • Manage the overall contract performance for assigned programs.
  • Advise on policy and problem resolution for International Security and Security Assistance FMS programs.
  • Independently review, process, and formulate programmatic products.
  • Communicate effectively (orally and in writing) on complex financial topics; demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, teamwork, and presentation skills.
  • Advise on U.S. foreign policy, national security policy-making, and the application of political-military principles in partner relationships.
  • Interpret international politics, differentiating between U.S. and international strategies.
  • Advise on intra- and inter-agency operating procedures, technology transfer, export control policy, and treaty obligations related to Allied involvement in weapons systems, including technology security considerations.
  • Think critically, perform analysis, and communicate effectively (written and spoken).
  • Work effectively with government entities such as OSD, Joint Staff, Military Departments (AA), and other stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.
  • Communicate effectively (orally and in writing) at an academic level and deliver convincing briefings to internal and external organizations.
  • Organize work, develop and schedule taskings, and conduct academic-level studies and analyses.

Required Experience/Clearance:


  • 15+ years of direct experience in international and policy planning.
  • 5+ years of experience in security assistance policy and execution activities, including FMS related to complex weapon systems.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams.
  • Experience in developing and managing budgets.
  • Experience working with government entities and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active Secret clearance required.
