The Center for Global Development (CGD) is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit policy research organization in Washington, DC and London, UK that focuses on the issues and institutions that are critical to inclusive development. Through rigorous empirical research and active engagement with the global policy community, we focus on the policy intersections of low- and middle-income countries and the governments, institutions, and corporations that can be partners in delivering greater progress.
The Center is seeking to hire an IT and AV Support Specialist to provide helpdesk and desktop user support under the guidance of the IT Director. The role will support the IT team in a broad array of functions.
General Responsibilities:
- Provide first line IT support for CGD staff computers, printers, and phones
- Assist with monitoring of existing end user computer peripherals, software and available technology
- Assist with inventory and asset management.
- Create network accounts
- Replace and image workstations as needed
- Setup audio and visual equipment for meetings and break down after
- Support and run audio/visual equipment for events in our 150-seat conference center
- Document work as needed
- Other duties as assigned
The successful candidate must have the following required skills:
- High school degree or equivalent or 1 year of prior relevant experience
- Knowledge of Windows 10 and 11, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft 365
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Motivated self-starter

Physical Demand:
This role involves moving and lifting equipment weighing up to 20 pounds. Ascending/descending a ladder. Positions self to install equipment, including under desks.

Salary range: $53,000 - $56,000. Pay commensurate with education, skillset, and experience. The organization is working hybrid. This position requires an in-office presence of 3 days per week.
