As
Salesforce Business Analyst, you’ll connect business needs with technical solutions within our Salesforce ecosystem. You will be responsible for eliciting and analyzing business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and collaborating closely with developers to deliver impactful Salesforce solutions. A critical component of this position involves ensuring seamless transitions and user adoption of Salesforce's tri-annual releases.We know that you can’t have great technology services without amazing people.

What you’ll do:
- Requirements Elicitation and Analysis: Conduct in-depth interviews and facilitated workshops with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and meticulously document business requirements related to Salesforce functionality.
- Solution Design: Transform business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and process flows. Design solutions that leverage Salesforce best practices, functionalities, and the latest platform advancements.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents, functional specifications, user manuals, and training materials, adhering to MetroStar's quality standards.
- Collaboration: Foster strong partnerships with developers, administrators, and other technical teams to ensure solutions are implemented according to specifications and meet business needs, fostering a collaborative and communicative environment.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Play an active role in testing and quality assurance activities, with a focus on minimizing disruptions during Salesforce releases:
- Sandbox Testing: Rigorously test new features and customizations in sandbox environments before deployment to production, ensuring compatibility with existing configurations and minimizing potential issues.
- Regression Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive regression test plans within UAT or dedicated sandboxes mirroring production to validate key functionalities after upgrades and deployments, safeguarding against unintended consequences.
- Production Smoke Testing: Perform post-deployment smoke testing in production to confirm system stability and identify any unforeseen issues, ensuring a smooth user experience after each release.
- Release Management: Actively support the planning and execution of Salesforce releases, including proactive communication with stakeholders and coordination of testing activities. Champion adherence to best practices for minimizing disruption during releases and maximizing user adoption.
- Training and Support: Provide engaging and effective training and support to end-users on new features and functionalities, empowering them to leverage the full potential of the Salesforce platform.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to optimize Salesforce processes and functionalities to enhance business efficiency and drive innovation within the organization.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- An active Secret security clearance
- 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst, with a strong understanding of Salesforce Service Cloud and/or Public Sector Solutions, or Sales Cloud. Experience with other Salesforce clouds (e.g., Experienced Cloud) is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience gathering and analyzing business requirements, designing solutions, and working effectively within agile development teams.
- 3+ years of experience understanding of Salesforce release management processes and best practices, including sandbox testing, regression testing, and production smoke testing.
