Integrated Partner Marketing Director!


About the Role:


The Integrated Partner Marketing Director will be responsible for the planning and execution of Backblaze’s alliance marketing strategy, working with partners and our marketing team to manage campaign plans, timelines and metrics in support of the company’s pipeline and growth goals. Success in this role requires expertise in operational planning within the GTM Functions.  The successful candidate will be metrics minded with a track record for developing and executing integrated partner campaigns, designed to manage leads and ops through the funnel with a mix of tactics to drive engagement.

This person will manage a detailed quarterly budget that drives pipeline and a positive ROI. The person will have the proven ability to work and communicate cross functionally internally and with our partners to gain endorsement for ideas and plans. This leader will be skilled in making key decisions and driving alignment among teams to achieve goals and solve problems through lead, conversion, asset and tactic data analysis, strategic planning and detailed execution. You will be experienced in developing quarterly GTM strategies to drive pipeline plans, as a result of working closely with partners and cross functionally with Backblaze Alliance, Sales and Marketing teams. This role is responsible for the deployment of partner campaigns for optimal reporting, detailed project management and scalable execution, establishing dashboards for growth metrics, as well as management of lead funnels to maximize conversions in the customer journey. You will leverage best practices to execute a nurture and outreach strategy for all partner campaigns and events, building visible lead funnel management for KPI reporting and effective alignment between marketing and sales. by instituting scalable procedures for consistent reporting and clear feedback loops. In this role, you will work with Marketing and Sales Operations to align and optimize lead scoring, list segmentation, email and landing page builds as well asMQL conversion, lead status and stage adherence guidelines for enhanced lead management and pipeline processes for increasing stage conversions. You will also work with partners to build joint messaging, positioning and differentiation that will be foundational to our joint marketing content and leveraged for sales enablement to support our partner co-sell motion. 

What You'll Do:


  • Define quarterly integrated joint marketing strategies, objectives and measures of success with our most strategic alliance partners.
  • Build and execute project management plans for managing partner campaign plans, actions and dependencies
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing on content requirements and bring partner messaging and positioning expertise to support the content direction. Work with Product Marketing to develop or leverage and repurpose content and assets to engage and convert partner pipeline. 
  • Document plans with strategic partners and manage executive business reviews, dashboard and reporting.
  • Manage the quarterly partner marketing budget, build reports on asset and tactic conversions, ad metrics, a/b testing and other aspects of campaign reporting to show success and opportunity for optimization. 
  • Set alliance marketing targets and contribution goals to the business. Work with Operations and BI teams to plan for measurement and reporting. Set metrics, analyze data, and be accountable for achieving the targets. 
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership and AE’s on high converting regional activities to drive leads and AE engagement. Drive alignment on partner marketing initiatives to build pipeline around  focused sales plays. 
  • Work with a cross-functional team of product marketing, sales, and marketing managers to ensure overall execution against strategic objectives and priorities.
  • Be a key stakeholder in our most strategic events, including NAB and VeeamOn, engaging with strategic alliance partners on opportunities to drive more demand with ancillary activities. 
  • For tier 1 partners with a regional sales and marketing focus, build relationships with and work closely with their regional marketing teams and alliance managers to develop go-to-market plans that create and accelerate demand with these partners in the region.

The Right Fit:


  • Expertise in Salesforce reporting and Hubspot
  • Excellent project management skills for managing detailed partner campaign plans, actions and dependencies
  • Analytical: passionate about building partner attribution systems for tracking and reporting accurately on our partner business. 
  • Skilled at managing budgets with the ability to build reports on asset and tactic conversions, ad metrics, a/b testing and other aspects of campaign reporting to show success and opportunity for optimization. 
  • Provide leadership with decision support metrics to agree on budget proposals and marketing plans. 
  • 12+ years of relevant work experience in marketing with technology companies.
  • Experience in internal and external relationship building, goal setting and metrics management is a must. 
  • Operations minded with a passion for building pipeline with attribution models, assessment of asset performance, promotional activity analytics and budget management for a positive ROI. 
  • Expert understanding of how to drive business and marketing with and through the partner ecosystem. 
  • Excel at cross-group collaboration with experience gaining consensus and driving deliverables with individuals inside and outside the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work on tight deadlines and deliver campaigns on schedule.
  • Strong creative thinker and problem solver.

We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies.
