Your Day-to-Day
Wizeline fully embraces DevOps as a culture and methodology to get things done. As a Site Reliability Engineer at Wizeline, you will enable the quick release of quality products, thus leading to faster innovation cycles for our clients and a higher impact on the users.You will be responsible for the non-functional attributes of the applications, such as scalability, performance, quality, and architecture. You will improve collaboration and organizational performance, and ensure world-class reliability and security of operations, all whilst achieving seamless software delivery in record time.
You will work on projects that provide new opportunities for skill development and gain exposure to multinational brandsHere's what you'll be doing in your day-to-day work:
- Build and run a platform that enables engineering teams to take their products to market faster and run them reliably and efficiently
- Take full ownership and accountability for the ClearBank cloud platform products your team owns and each aspect of the software delivery, support and maintenance lifecycle as well as regularly gaining feedback ensuring they are self-service and still fit for purpose
- Work closely with Technical Product Owners, Agile Delivery Managers, Staff and Principal engineers, Senior Engineering Managers and Head of Infrastructure to define the short-term backlogs, delivery plans and long-term roadmaps for your team
- Support the risk management of your product, identify risk proactively within technology and delivery across the organisation
- Leverage modern technologies where appropriate to get the most value out of existing ClearBank platform offering and deliver additional value in the highest-priority areas. ClearBank want to lead the financial industry when it comes to technology while focussing on the things customers value most
- Ensure best practices are followed within your team to enable them to succeed in the established ClearBank eco-system
- Leverage agile principles to enable collaboration and innovation in the team and with stakeholders outside the team Create an environment that drive positive energy and a mentality to succeed
- Work with technical product owners, staff engineers, principal engineers, and senior Innovation leaders to balance engineering priorities with platform product objectives

Must-have Skills
Experience with Observability topics/solutions/products:
- Experience working in a platform environment
- A mindset of ownership, leading by example and a default to action approach
- Hands-on experience with ClearBank platform technology stack: Terraform, Azure DevOps YAML pipelines and templates, Azure cloud service including Networking, Identity Management, Service Fabric, AKS, Service Bus, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Elasticsearch
- Proven track-record of enabling/supporting teams to operate in a DevOps and/or Platform environment
- Proactive approach in problem, incident and risk management and resolution
- Strong communication skills that can inspire and align your team and outside stakeholders to the platform vision
- Experience in microservices architecture, event-driven architecture, and related patterns
Desirable Skills & Experience nice to have but not essential
- Technical experience: C# (.NET) & Automated testing
- Experience working in financial services/fintech/newest financial technologies
- Experience of API first platforms
