Position Overview:


We are currently hiring a full-time School Counselor to support a welcoming and collaborative school in McHenry, Illinois. This role focuses on working with K-5th grade students, and the school’s staff, administration, and families are all committed to fostering student success in a supportive environment.

Start Date:

 ASAP through May 30th, 2025 (subject to emergency/snow days).
Compensation: $40.15–$47.73 per hour or $58,000–$63,00 annually.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Work full-time, Monday-Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Provide direct counseling services to K-5th grade students.
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions.
  • There are no self-contained programs. 13 students have IEP minutes, but the School Counselor would do some informal groups as part of MTSS as well and support as needed in classrooms as part of a daily schedule.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:


  • Master’s Degree in School Counseling is required.
  • A valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Counselor endorsement is mandatory.
