Position Overview:

 We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team and work within a school district in Harvard, IL. This COTA would be working at two schools (one is elementary/intermediate and one is junior high). There are other OTs and COTAs in the district available for support.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. As a COTA with AnthroMed Education, you will collaborate with licensed Occupational Therapists, educators, and families to provide high-quality occupational therapy services.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for students.

  • Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-regulation strategies.

  • Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings within the school environment.

  • Document therapy sessions, progress notes, and any required reports in compliance with district and state guidelines.

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' educational goals.

  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as needed.

  • Adapt activities and materials to accommodate students' unique needs.

Qualifications:



  • Certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in the state of Illinois.

  • Previous experience working with children or in a school-based setting is preferred.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Passion for working with diverse student populations.

  • Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
