Part Time SLP Position 24-25 School Year

Our team of professionals is committed to making a meaningful impact in children's lives by fostering communication skills and enhancing overall academic success.Position Details:We are seeking a dedicated and passionate part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year.
This individual would be supporting a mixed caseload of Middle School and High School students. The caseload consists of about 35 students, though the part-time role will cover a portion of that. You will have another SLP in each of the buildings to collaborate with! This position offers flexibility and a reduced schedule while still providing the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the school community.Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders, including articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic communication skills.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group settings to address speech and language goals outlined in IEPs.
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other related service providers to support students' academic and social-emotional development.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and innovative strategies to enhance students' communication skills and facilitate progress towards established goals.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting intervention plans as needed to ensure continued growth and achievement.
- Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Foster positive relationships with parents and caregivers through regular communication and involvement in the IEP process.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children in a school or clinical setting.
