GXM is looking to hire a backend focused .NET Software Developer to support United States Department of Defense and other government and commercial customers. This is a full-time exempt position utilizing multiple tech stacks for a variety of platforms.GXM is a team of creative professionals focused on solving problems for end users. Responsibilities
- Use programming languages/tools such as C#/.NET and SQL (SQLite/SQL Server) to design, develop, test, and maintain database or algorithmic backend APIs for a cross-platform mobile application (.NET MAUI)
- Perform some front-end development tasks involving C#, Blazor, HTML, and CSS
- Collaborate in an Agile, cross-functional team to design, implement, and test software solutions that meet customer requirements for each sprint
- Support front-end components through the design and implementation of back-end logic and database structures
- Ensure software quality through code reviews, testing, debugging of applications and metrics
- Follow best practices and guidelines for optimization of application performance and security
- Stay current on emerging technologies and trends and use this knowledge to propose improvements the program

- U.S. citizenship required
- Must be able to obtain a Secret (or higher) security clearance
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- Experience in C#/.NET backend development
- Experience with writing and maintaining C#/.NET unit tests
- Strong understanding and experience with relational databases and SQL
- Experience with T-SQL, stored procedures/functions, SQL Server, and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
- Some knowledge or experience with Python
- Experience using Git or other version control systems.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Excellent problem-solver and detail-oriented
- Meticulous in maintaining high standards of quality
- Strong communicator and collaborator, with the ability to work effectively both in a team and independently
- This is a remote position, but occasional travel to GXM HQ in Arlington VA and/or to client locations may be required
Desired
- Active Secret (or higher) clearance
- Knowledge or experience with .NET MAUI or Xamarin cross-platform mobile development (Android/Windows/iOS)
- Knowledge or experience with front-end programming languages such as Blazor, XAML, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Knowledge or experience with software design patterns such as MVVM and Dependency InjectionExperience with using Visual Studio IDE
- Knowledge or experience with Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
- Knowledge or experience with CI/CD build tools and pipelines
- Some knowledge or experience with PowerShell
