The Gist…
The Enterprise Data Architect will oversee translating analytic and user requirements into enterprise data models that can be used in the data warehouse and data lake. An ideal candidate will communicate across functional teams to ensure best practices across the platform. In addition to enterprise data model development, the enterprise data architect will oversee rapid prototyping and solutioning to further the development of the data platform.
What Your Day Might Include…
- Working with cross-functional teams in high temp environment.
- Develop and test software used within big data environment.
- Responsible for Architecting and modeling data in medium to large enterprise systems.
- Design and implement ETL solutions in medium to large enterprise systems.
- Design and implement solutions in large complex environment.
- Work with designing and optimizing database solutions.
- Design both streaming and batch ETL processes using tools such as Databricks, Kafka and Apache Nifi/ Airflow.
- Develop applications leveraging big data technologies including: Elastic Search, Cassandra, Janus Graph and H-Base.
- Leverage NiFi to develop complex ETL processes in a medium to large enterprise system.
- Middle-Tier and back-end development
- Implement best practices and ensure compliance with HSI standards.
- Use knowledge of concepts, methodologies and best practices pertaining to mitigating development risks, estimating tasks, coding standards and source control procedures.
Requirements
You'll Bring These Qualifications...
- Possess the ability to demonstrate current and at-least intermediate skills in RDBMS and NoSQL data stores such as (but not limited to): Elasticsearch, Cassandra, MongoDB, Object data stores such as S3, Deltalake.
- Experience developing production applications using the following server-side computer language(s): Java – SpringBoot, Python.
- Familiarity with modeling data in the RDF standard and the associated tooling to ensure RDF compliance.
- Familiarity with modeling data in the OWL standard and the associated tooling to ensure OWL compliance.
- Familiarity with Graph Databases technologies (Neo4j, JanusGraph, D-Graph, etc.).
- Familiarity with batch.
- Experience as a Database Administrator.
