The Opportunity:
TECKpert seeks to hire a Healthcare IT Systems Analyst to support our client, a government agency based in Tallahassee, FL. The Analyst will support the Florida Department of Health’s Health Management System (HMS) by developing and enhancing system functionalities, conducting system testing, and ensuring compliance with data security policies. This role requires expertise in healthcare systems, SQL, and Agile methodologies, along with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Job Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Develop user requirements documents, design documents, and screen presentations.
- Conduct system analysis, develop test cases, and support quality assurance processes.
- Facilitate requirements gathering and validation sessions with program offices.
- Utilize Unified Modeling Language (UML) and flowcharts for object-oriented design.
- Conduct formal software testing and perform root cause analysis for system defects.
- Participate in Agile Scrum activities, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
- Provide regular updates, work estimates, and documentation to meet project timelines.
- Ensure adherence to Department IT standards and data security policies.
Location
This is an on-site position. Candidates must be located in or near Tallahassee, Florida.
Compensation and Term:
This is a full-time, contract position with potential extensions. Compensation varies with experience, up to $105,000. Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance are available after 30 days of hire.
Qualifications You Need:
The successfulcandidate should have the following qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Communication or other related field.
- At least three (3) years of experience with SQL, formal software testing, and flowcharting.
- At least two (2) years of experience with healthcare systems or electronic health record software.
- Experience in Agile software development and project management practices (1+ year).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
