VP APAC has the overall responsibility for achieving the APAC regional goals and is accountable for all the orders, revenue, treatments and installations (capital equipment and recurring revenues) in the region. The VP of APAC will lead the development of the overall strategy and annual planning for the region and oversee the implementation of this plan .
The region includes Japan, Korea, Australia, India and SEA (Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines).
What you will be doing:
- Manage all aspects of commercial activities (Sales, CAM, Service and Application) in APAC
- Drive reimbursement across the region.
- Manage all company employees and consultants in the region, directly or indirectly, solid, or dotted line.
- Focus on strategic planning for the region and sub-regions
- Responsible for regional quarterly and annual commercial goals (utilizations, orders, and sales).
- Lead annual strategic planning for APAC, consolidate and manage functions that affect strategic activities, working with the relevant functional regional managers.
- Maximize orders, sales, market share, utilization and recurring revenues in the assigned area;
- Oversee all company activities in the region by collaborating with corporate HR, Regulatory, Clinical Research, Market Access, Medical Affairs instead, and Government Affairs.
- Represent INSIGHTEC to customers with credibility and achieve visibility, awareness, and market proliferation in APAC;
- Collaborate with partners (GEHC-J, Siemens, distributors / dealers) to achieve commercial goals;
- Maintain IB customer / KOL satisfaction.
Main Objectives and Activities:
- Effectively manage the Japan Country Manager and AGM Director, who will focus on commercial goals and manage local post-sale activities (Service and Application)
- Build a business model with customers, including reimbursement status, downstream revenue, sponsor research programs and any business financial data required for a customer decision in APAC;
- Conduct strategic meetings and generate annual strategy and plans to coordinate with all relevant internal stakeholders.
- Conduct ongoing regular team meetings that include the commercial managers and regional functions
- Be able to speak with authority at all levels from C-Level to physicians, administrators & supply chain.
- Maintain ongoing communication and relations with current IB and KOL, meet their needs/requests;
- Leverage on relations with IB / KOL to boost market expansion opportunities; obtain relevant societies’ support; regulatory / reimbursement activities;
- Work with the Marketing team to plan and execute strategic/clinical/academic marketing activities
- Support INSIGHTEC products’ market expansion in accordance with the Company policies for the region;
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in the medical device industry.
- Proven track record in managing regional or multi-country operations, focusing on APAC markets.
- Strong English a must
- Extensive experience in driving sales, strategic planning, and business development in complex markets.
- Demonstrated success in building relationships with KOLs, healthcare providers, and strategic partners.
- Familiarity with capital equipment and recurring revenue models is a must.
- Experience managing both direct and indirect reporting structures
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels both locally and regionally.
- Strong knowledge of local healthcare systems and business environments in Japan, Korea, Australia, India, and SEA.
- Results-driven with a strong customer focus.
- High degree of adaptability, resilience, and cultural sensitivity.
