What You'll Do


Job Purpose


The Business Development Associate will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of the company by identifying new property management opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and supporting key initiatives across various departments. This role will involve conducting market research, performing financial analysis, preparing presentations and proposals, and assisting in the development of pitch materials.The Associate will collaborate with internal teams such as property management, asset management, marketing, and legal to support the generation of new property management assignments.The ideal candidate will be proactive, results-driven, and possess strong communication and analytical skills to help facilitate the company’s continued success and growth.

Duties and Responsibilities


Analysis:

  • Produce, update, and maintain property budgets for new business opportunities
  • Assist in the due diligence process for new business opportunities as well as retention of existing management assignments
  • Provide regular research on existing markets that Morgan operates in
  • Assist property management operations in reviewing property performance and ad hoc financial analysis
  • Preparing pitch materials for new opportunities:
  • Produce high quality, professional pitch decks with financial analysis, management strategies, marketing plans, and strategic planning.
  • Periodically update Morgan collateral to be used in property management marketing efforts.

Skills


  • Proficient in Excel modeling
  • Property operations experience preferred
  • Able to create management pitch decks in PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
  • One to five year(s) in a similar role, real estate, or operations background helpful
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with particular comfort in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to think critically and generate ideas and draw conclusions from information provided during the due diligence process
  • Aptitude for proactive problem solving and using independent judgement
  • Ability to work well under pressure, remaining flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly without losing attention to detail
