Responsibilities/Duties/Functions:
- Program, set-up, and operate a variety of machine tools including CNC lathes, CNC mills, Wire EDM, and various manual (mill, lathe, surface grinder) equipment
- Identify material and tooling required to produce prototype parts, tooling, fixtures, gages, etc.
- Follow all documented processes
- Work closely with engineering to design and develop fixtures, gauges, etc.
- Perform other duties as required/assigned
- Overtime and weekend work required as needed
Required Experience:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex manufacturing documents and manufacture parts/fixtures start to finish
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment
- Minimum 4 years of programming experience with lathes, mills and/or wire EDM
- Surf CAM/Esprit proficiency
- Strong attention to detail
Core Competencies:
- Detail oriented, strong analytical, numerical, planning and reasoning abilities
- Swiss Turn Lathe CNC experience/programming is a plus
- 5-axis milling experience/programming is a plus
- Read, analyze and interpret complex manufacturing documents
- Strong manufacturing background (CNC/Metal cutting)
- Excellent organizational and communications skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
