NOVA Engineering is seeking a
Certified Welding Inspector / Structural Steel Inspector
for our Locust Grove, GA office on the south side of Atlanta. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Primary duties include performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Perform Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
- Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met.
- Activities will include performing field testing and inspections
- Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
- Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
- Input results and observations into daily reports
Requirements:
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required
- Construction materials testing (CMT) and inspection experience is preferred
- AWS D1.1 and AWS D1.5 experience a plus
- ICC certifications a plus: Structural Welding, Structural Masonry, Reinforced Concrete, Structural Steel and Bolting
