About This Role
The Systems Test Technician will perform the final system test of a complex electromechanical, radiation therapy medical device as part of routine manufacturing. This role will require working closely with System Test Engineers and using released processes to troubleshoot and resolve assembly problems. This role requires knowledge of Unix/Linux and MS Excel Experience. The System Test Technician will execute system-level testing and may also be trained on and assigned related manufacturing tasks in one or more areas of the factory floor in addition to systems test, including electrostatic discharge (ESD), sub-assembly, gantry, and system test.
What You Will Be Doing
- Program, configure, troubleshoot, and test various subsystems as part of comprehensive final testing of the RefleXion system(s)
- Collaborate with engineers to execute the assembly and test processes and provide feedback for design and process improvements
- Perform Factory Acceptance Testing of a complete system in preparation for shipment to the customer
- Identify and troubleshoot failures before then coordinating NCRs/reworks as necessary
- Work with System Test Engineering to troubleshoot issues that arise and support creation of the necessary documentation to resolve issues
- Integrate system-level components including gantry, power distribution units, uninterruptible power supplies, system control racks, treatment couch, and system covers and interface electronics and cabling
- Follow planned schedules and provide daily status updates
- Compile production records for compliance and accuracy
- Maintain test vaults and tooling in the system test area(s)
- Align, fit, or assembles components, using hand or power tools, fixtures, and other assembly aids as needed
- Verify correct components and traceability issued to job
- Maintain accurate component traceability and associated build documentation
- Perform complex, ad-hoc repairs and upgrades to system as required
- Investigate problems to resolve quality issues such as NCMR’s, complaints, and CAPAs
- Follow all quality, safety, and housekeeping practices
- Other duties as assigned
Where You Will Do This Job
- Onsite -This position requires the successful candidate to work from the RefleXion office. They must be based in the greater SF Bay Area and must be able to commute into the RefleXion office in Hayward daily for first or second shift.
What We Need
- Candidate must be willing and available to work both first (6am-2:30pm) or second (2:00pm - 10:30pm) shift schedules
- High school degree or General Education Development (GED) degree and a minimum of 6 years professional test technician experience OR an Associates degree (AS) in computer science, or related technical field and 4 years professional experience OR a Bachelor’s of Science (BS) degree in computer engineering, computer science with a year of professional experience
- Must possess the appropriate personality to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a constant focus on safety and quality
- Demonstrated experience executing system-level testing with a high degree of attention to detail and overall product quality
- Experienced and comfortable working with MS Excel and Linux/Unix
- Proficient with basic hand tools and inspection equipment
- Motivated, proactive self-starter
- Must be strong team player with good communication skills
- Must be able to read and interpret electronic circuit and mechanical drawings, detailed process instructions
- Understanding Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S, waste elimination, 1-piece workflow and quality built-in
Ways To Stand Out
- Previous medical device manufacturing experience preferred
- Scientific or engineering education and/or experience a plus
- Strong attention to documentation details and traceability

The pay range for this role is $25.75 - $33.75 per hour. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable variable compensation.
