About the Team:
The Growth Marketing Team leads the company's efforts to acquire new eaters across a variety of channels. This is more than the ambition of expanding audiences, increasing traffic and conversion rate whilst keeping CAC low. CookUnity has an incredible chef-driven story to tell—and a mind-blowing, must-taste product to introduce to the world. The role:
As a Staff Data Engineer in Marketing Technology, you will be responsible for designing and architecting scalable platforms that allow our company to effectively reach customers across various channels. This role is highly cross-functional, where you will act as a close partner to marketing, design, product, data and policy teams to make impactful changes. You will ensure the seamless integration of our marketing technology stack, driving both mobile and desktop customer experiences, and optimizing our marketing performance through data-driven insights.You have deep expertise in customer data platforms (CDP) like Segment, A/B testing platforms such as SiteSpect and a solid understanding of how advertising platforms function.
This person should have the technical ability to manage and integrate complex MarTech ecosystems, driving efficiency, scalability, and accuracy in our marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture, implementation, and integration of the marketing technology stack across desktop and mobile environments, ensuring seamless operation between internal systems and external platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate customer data platforms (CDPs) such as Segment, building custom data pipelines and ensuring that marketing data is collected, processed, and utilized efficiently.
- Work closely with the marketing and growth teams to support A/B testing strategies using platforms like SiteSpect, helping optimize website and app performance based on test outcomes.
- Integrate advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta, TikTok) with the broader MarTech ecosystem to ensure accurate tracking, reporting and optimization.
- Ensure data quality and governance for marketing technology integrations and customer data flows, maintaining high levels of accuracy in campaign tracking and reporting.
- Support the setup and scaling of personalization strategies through MarTech tools, ensuring that customer experiences are optimized for engagement and conversion.
- Provide technical leadership in scoping new MarTech solutions and enhancements to existing platforms, driving best practices in platform integration and management.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system integrations, resolving any issues related to data flows, API connections, or platform performance.
- Design scalable APIs and reliable production systems to support a robust MarTech stack.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously evaluating and recommending improvements to the marketing tech stack.
Minimum Requirements:
- BS degree in Computer Science or other related fields (MS or Ph.D. preferred).
- 8+ years of industry experience in a fast-paced tech environment.
- Expertise in customer data platforms (CDPs), particularly Segment or similar platforms.
- Proficiency with A/B testing platforms like SiteSpect, including setting up and analyzing experiments for both web and mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta, TikTok) and their data and API integrations.
- Experience in Data Engineering technologies.
- Design experience in scalable APIs and building reliable production systems.
- Experience in both mobile and desktop MarTech environments, including app integrations and data flows across devices.
- Deep knowledge of API integrations, data mapping, and data management within a marketing tech stack.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with marketing, product, and engineering teams.
- Fluent in English
Preferred requirements:
- Familiarity with personalization tools and frameworks for delivering customized user experiences.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their implications on marketing technologies.
