Team Description
Pendo is looking for a competitive intelligence professional to join our Product Marketing organization. Product Marketing at Pendo is responsible for accelerating sales and marketing. This role is central to that mission. This role will keep an overall pulse on Pendo’s key markets when it comes to competition. They will arm GTM teams with the right intelligence and support sales on deals and through training. This extremely cross functional role requires analyst grade intelligence and a knack for connecting with sellers.
The role is highly visible and has a direct connection to key business metrics and initiatives.
Role Responsibilities
- Surface and analyze competitive and market intel within all legal and ethical boundaries
- Market scanning, competitive analysis, assisting with win/loss analysis, validation of competitive claims.
- Work with sales and product marketing (product owners) to drive creation of compelling and articulate competitive content geared towards a variety of key internal stakeholders, including end-users and executive management.
- Share insights with executive and functional stakeholders in business and technical roles
- Develop, present, and maintain regular sales training and enablement.
- Proven ability to analyze complex competitive landscapes, synthesize insights, and deliver actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Contribute to positioning and messaging through internal and external channels.
- Contribute to product strategy as an informed product/market expert.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in a product marketing role with a focus on competitive intelligence.
- Customer facing experience (ideally sales)
- Strong research and analysis skills.
- Proven technical knowledge and aptitude.
- Ability to structure and present both qualitative and quantifiable data in a compelling fashion.
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to succinctly articulate technical concepts.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to travel to support sales teams in person as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the B2B SaaS enterprise segment and understanding of SaaS business models, competitive positioning, go-to-market strategies, and product lifecycles
- Experience presenting quarterly win/loss analysis to executives and experience running a win/loss interview program to uncover key insights into buying decisions, competitor performance, and opportunities to improve positioning and sales strategy
- Familiarity with CI tools such as Crayon, Klue, or similar platforms, as well as proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker)
- Data analysis skills and certifications

Compensation
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.The expected salary range for this role to be performed in: Raleigh, NC - USD $105,000 - $132,000New York City, NY - USD $110,000 - USD $138,000Individual pay rate decisions, including offers made within and over the expected salary range, are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.#LI-KW1#LI-UShubs
