Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Operations to lead and optimize your dedicated departments and teams within the Wholesale and Correspondent channels at Deephaven Mortgage. The VP of Operations will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence through effective problem-solving, decisive decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives. This individual will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations across multiple teams, driving efficiency, compliance, and quality while fostering a collaborative, results-driven, and solution-oriented environment.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving operational goals and will be instrumental in shaping the future success of our business.
What You’ll Do
Lead and provide strategic direction to your dedicated Operations teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and operational excellence.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, quality, and compliance across the teams you support.
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement, driving team performance and operational results.
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure high-quality loan delivery and maintain industry and regulatory standards.
Oversee daily operations of your dedicated departments, streamlining workflows to reduce processing time and improve efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges, implement process improvements, and drive solutions.
Act as the primary decision-maker for operational issues, analyzing complex situations, evaluating options, and taking decisive action.
Develop contingency plans and proactively manage risks to ensure business continuity and minimize disruptions.
Set clear performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to drive team development and accountability.
Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies, leveraging insights to enhance operational processes and maintain a competitive edge.
What We Need
All DH employees must be able to work cooperatively as team members
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of experience in mortgage operations, with a strong background in closing and due diligence.
3+ years of Leadership/Management experience
Experience with building team culture and communication
Proven track record of leadership in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards in the mortgage industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and decisive leadership style
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results under pressure
Works well in a collaborative environment that is high energy and drives towards goals
