IT Quality Assurance Analyst
Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Analyst will work with the Quality Assurance Testing Lead and team members to ensure that the high-quality needs of the system, projects or initiatives are met and delivered to the end users in a timely manner. The role entails testing all aspects of the Salesforce and Web ecosystems including the Salesforce Delaware Life Marketing (DLM) and/or Salesforce Gainbridge (GB) platforms, any related integration points, related systems and user Interfaces, databases, and upstream or downstream feeds.
The analyst will also become familiar with automation as it pertains to testing any of the above areas using UiPath, an RPA testing tool and platform, and may ultimately participate in automated testing. The successful candidate will take on a testing role in multiple projects with the key responsibilities listed below.
Main Accountabilities
- Develops, documents, and executes functional, regression, and end-to-end tests as appropriate
- Creates, imports, maintains, and executes test plans in Testmo
- Utilizes Jira to log issues and escalates to QA Management as needed
- Effectively communicates issue status, participates in meetings and ensures all stakeholders are informed
- Attends Agile sprint ceremonies and adheres to Agile principles
- Identifies, compares, and resolves data quality problems
- Participates in and supports Production problem/issue resolution and testing as needed
- Tests front-end and backend APIs as required
- Works closely with software development and BSA teams to test as early as possible and efficiently in sprint cycles
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a QA tester utilizing test case management tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Math, or a related field, or comparable certificate is preferred (professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree).
- Familiar with database structures, and ability to connect to a database for querying
- Knowledge of root cause analysis of defects
- Exposure to UiPath, C++, Java, Python is a plus
- Experience with Salesforce applications including mobile testing is preferred
