About the Project
iParametrics, in collaboration with a leading construction and facility services provider, seeks a Commissioning Associate to support a major project ensuring the seamless integration and performance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. Located in Phoenix, AZ, this project spans both construction and operational phases, requiring rigorous testing, quality assurance, and commissioning to meet safety and performance goals for mission-critical environments.
Position Overview
The Commissioning Associate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the execution and validation of MEP systems throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with technical expertise to perform audits, conduct system tests, troubleshoot issues, and manage documentation. The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior associates to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
System Readiness & Testing- Collaborate with commissioning and facility teams to coordinate pre-functional and functional system tests.
- Perform on-site field observations to verify construction progress and compliance with specifications.
Documentation & Reporting- Request, collect, and catalog submittals from trade partners.
- Assemble and prepare project manuals and detailed reports.
Training & Coordination- Coordinate owner training, including documentation and videography.
- Mentor and lead junior associates on technical tasks and processes.
Operational Readiness- Execute Operational Project Readiness (OPR) tasks, focusing on MEPF assessments and system coordination.
Basic Qualifications
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in commissioning or facility services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel regularly to project sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: CxP (Certified Commissioning Professional) or CxA (Certified Commissioning Authority).
