Installation Project Manager
Provide support to installation crews and superintendents, manage project progress, communicate with internal sales and project management teams, and maintain safety and training documentation for crew members. This role reports directly to the Director of Installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage crew rosters and project schedules on a daily and weekly basis
- Ensure on-time turnover of installation and dismantle scopes
- Develop and adhere to budget, timeline, and quality control plan for all projects
- Work with in-house project management team on project deliverables in the field
- Facilitate communication between on-site crew leader, in-house project management & sales teams, and SSI end-user
- Supply updates from the installation crew to SSI internal team and GC/end-user throughout project – tracking to progress goals
- Maintains and updates safety training documentation for all crew members on a regular basis
- Maintains and updates tool and truck fleet asset management
- Reviews and approves weekly hour logs and travel reporting for all crews
Work Hours and Benefits:
- This position will require time in the office as well as regular travel to jobsites and potential construction locations and requested by internal stakeholders
- This is a salaried position with a performance bonus based on project deliverables and overall team/company financial targets being met in calendar year
Qualifications and Skills:
- Skilled with Microsoft suite of programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Builds strong relationships with clients, contractors, and construction workers.
- Collaborates with on-site installation crew leader and reports to the Director of Installation
- Excels at organization, communication, time-management, problem-solving, detailed reporting
- Reliable and consistent while working in remote locations
- Comfortable with regular travel requirements – including short-notice needs
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 2-4 years of project management experience or 4-5 years of material handling installation superintendent experience
- College degree preferred but not required
- Construction Project Management certification preferred but not required
Training and Certifications (Beneficial – but not required prior to starting)
- OSHA Safety training
- Forklift operation training
- PMP or CAPM – or other project management certifications
