Position Details:


The Child Mind Institute (CMI) is looking for a Senior Administrative Coordinator to support the Vice President (VP) Global Programs and global programs leadership team. You will work with the VP of Global programs to facilitate administrative and clinical functions and support the initiatives and growth of global programs.This role must work across a broad range of individuals including policy-makers, clinicians, researchers, and community leaders. The Senior Administrative Coordinator will handle highly confidential and time-sensitive financial, legal, and institutional material while exercising professionalism and discretion.

We ask that you have exemplary time management skills and the ability to anticipate the VP of Global Program and leadership team’s needs.Reporting to the Vice President of Global Programs, this is an exempt, full-time position located in our NYC headquarters office. You will be in the office, 5-days per week for this role.

You Will:


  • Manage the VP of Global Programs and research leadership’s calendars. Exercise discretion in committing time and evaluating needs.
  • Manage administrative responsibilities for the VP of Global Programs and leadership team as a whole.
  • Determine the priority of matters of attention for the VP of Global Programs. When appropriate, redirect matters to staff to handle or handle matters personally.
  • Coordinate with external collaborators around the country and other departments, programs, and initiatives within the Child Mind Institute.
  • Support the research leadership team in arranging site visits, program convenings, and other activities related to the program’s implementation.
  • Organize, prepare for, and set up virtual and in-person meetings including preparation of meeting agendas, meeting logistics, and ensuring communication.

You Have:


  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience supporting Executive Level Leadership, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience promoting productive working relationships across the organization, comfortable working with people of all levels and diverse populations, with different backgrounds, skills, experiences, and cultures
  • Calendar management experience
  • Experience maintaining confidential information
  • Comfortable handling difficult situations and resolving conflict, understanding different perspectives and concerns of individuals
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft systems
  • Must have the desire to serve and fulfill the mission of the Child Mind Institute

Pay Range


The salary range for the position is posted. Factors such as candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations affect the salary offered within this range. In addition, this salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
