Tank Technician
Job Description
The Tank Technician function is to ensure proper workmanship is maintained in all aspects of the job. Part of your day will be inspecting the bins to make sure they meet company standards and are ready for customers. The role will also be placing decals on bins and trailers and retro fitting parts as needed. You will have contact with customers to learn what repairs need to be made.
Responsibilities:
- Prep parts according to the work orders.
- Install parts onto ISO Tank according to drawings.
- Repair tanks according to off-lease estimate.
- Perform periodic testing of ISO tank.
- Work with third party inspectors.
- General maintenance of ISO tanks, chassis, and shop.
- Perform daily assigned equipment inspection.
- Working at heights of 8’ and higher.
- Previous welding experience or willingness to learn a plus.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience with hand/power tools (impact driver, angle grinder, wrenches/ratchets, hammers, etc.).
- Ability to work on brakes, air lines, and lights on chassis.
- Operate Equipment (forklift, pressure washer, air compressor).
- Mechanical experience of 2 years a plus.
- Forklift certification a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Moderate physical effort which requires standing on a concrete floor for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to climb, bend, and stoop to perform various functions of the position.
- Good hand/eye coordination and visual acuity.
Work Environment:
- This position is in a warehouse environment.
- Will be working in different weather conditions.
- Subject to loud noises.
