Sales Operations Specialist

Position Overview:


The Sales Operations Specialist is pivotal in enhancing the performance of our sales channels by optimizing the sales process, managing sales tools, providing analytical insights, and leveraging strong data analysis skills. This role is designed for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, focusing on detail, strategic planning, and data-driven decision-making to drive sales efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:


Vendor and Tool Management:


  • Oversee relationships with third-party vendors to ensure effective deployment and enhancement of sales tools.
  • Monitor contract terms, coordinate training, and maintain comprehensive documentation on tool functionalities.

Sales Process Optimization:


  • Lead initiatives for changes and enhancements in the sales process.
  • Develop and implement strategies for process improvement, ensuring alignment with CRM systems and other sales technologies.

Analytics and Reporting:


  • Data Visualization and Reporting: Craft customized dashboards and detailed reports for sales leaders and the Chief Revenue Officer to facilitate accurate forecasting, funnel management, and performance tracking.
  • Data Management and Analysis: Proficient in managing and analyzing large datasets to uncover trends, optimize sales strategies, and provide actionable insights that drive business decisions.

CRM Data Management:


  • Maintain high data integrity within the CRM by managing data cleaning, updates, and ensuring the accuracy of sales forecasts and pipeline data.

CPQ Development:


  • Work closely with IT and Product teams to enhance and manage the Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) system.
  • Partner with GIS and data teams to broaden the scope of product sets and locations and services.

Territory and Account Strategy:


  • In collaboration with sales leadership, refine and manage territory and account allocations using integrated third-party data to optimize lead generation and sales strategies.

Operational Support:


  • Act as a primary daily support contact for sales teams, addressing operational issues, facilitating resource allocation, and communicating resolutions effectively.

Interdepartmental Collaboration:


  • Serve as a key liaison between sales and other departments including Product Management, Customer Service, Sales Support, and Service Delivery to ensure cohesive operations and support. 

Preferred Skills:


  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel: Capable of handling complex functions, macros, and advanced data manipulation.
  • Data Management: Proven experience in handling, analyzing, and deriving insights from large datasets.
  • Communication Mastery: Exceptional at conveying complex information clearly and persuasively to operational teams, sales forces, and executive leadership.
  • Project Management Expertise: Demonstrated ability in leading projects from inception to completion with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Multitasking and Prioritization: Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing tasks effectively to meet business needs.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of business operations, financial principles, and strategic problem-solving.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Advanced skills in the full suite including SharePoint for collaboration, Visio for process mapping, Word for documentation, and PowerPoint for presentations.
  • Ethical Integrity: Commitment to high ethical standards in all professional dealings.
  • Willingness to Travel: Ready to travel domestically or internationally up to 25% of the time to support business needs
