With a dynamic team culture that emphasizes both fun and hard work, we are actively seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join our team. Summary:The Sr. Sales Engineer is responsible for preparing and delivering technical demonstrations, speaking to market trends, and relaying industry insights to customers and prospects.
This role will work closely with our sales team during engagements to help scope and assess qualified leads. The Sr. Sales Engineer collaborates with sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of Qmulos products, and to provide overall sales technical support.Responsibilities:
- Comfortably interacting with ISO, CISO, ISSO, executive leadership and C-Level end users by addressing real-life use cases and pain points within current provision workflow
- Plan and modify product configurations to meet customer needs.
- Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements.
- Proactively scope technical solution prerequisites to address customer requirements, assess customer needs and recommend solutions that optimize the value for both the customer and the organization
- Develop and maintain personal relationships with technical prospects during the sales process across many different prospects simultaneously.
- Secure input from all necessary solution stakeholders to understand key customer business drivers and functional requirements
- Functional experience or strong understanding of RFPs/RFIs
- Collaborate with the sales team and sales leadership to achieve new sales targets and reach retention goals
- Serve as the expert liaison to provide market feedback to the sales organization and product team while also guiding commercial strategies and validating product roadmaps
- Ensure a smooth transition between pre-sales specifications and the implementation team once contracts have been awarded
- Provide coaching and professional development to sales team members to effectively enhance their product knowledge, procedural acumen and technical sales skills
- Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.
- Sell products requiring extensive technical expertise and support for installation and use, such as material handling equipment, numerical-control machinery, or computer systems.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers.
- Arrange for demonstrations or trial installations of equipment.
- Keep informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments.
- Document account activities, generate reports, and keep records of business transactions with customers and suppliers.
- Performs other duties as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work on teams with both technical (development and technical enablement) and non-technical (sales and product implementation) coworkers
- Strong understanding of IT Security and Compliance
- Familiarity with one or more facets of server/IT administration, e.g., Windows Administration/PowerShell, RHEL/CentOS administration, Network Administration (Palo Alto Networks, Cisco Suite, etc.), Cloud Administration (AWS, GCP, and/or Azure), Security tool administration (Tenable, Cisco Suite, Qualys, etc.)
- Proficiency with screen sharing in multiple tools: Zoom, WebEx, Microsoft Teams, Slack Huddle, Google Meet
- Ability to train both in person and with online collaborative tools
- Deep level of understanding with Splunk
- Understanding of frameworks: NIST 800-53 rev. 4 or 5, FEDRAMP, ISO 27001, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC2
