Position Summary:
This role provides overall leadership of people, material handling and packaging assets of Specialty Organics Products to achieve safety, reliability, and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accountable for effective and accurate packaging procedures to address all aspects of quality, safety and reliable operation of material handler activity.
- Achieves a high level of proactive employee engagement with employee safety and quality behaviors in managing day-to-day material handler operations.
- Assures procedures use and adherence to policies.
- Prompt reporting of events and actions in the company safety and quality information systems.
- Manages employee staffing, scheduling and availability to meet business needs for packaging and raw materials.
- Consistent and accurate reporting of material handler activity and KPI’s. Identified and develops opportunities for continuous improvement related to safety, quality and reliability.
- Ensures safety/quality work permits are implemented effectively in tank farm area consistent with plant standards.
- Responsible to ensure management-of-change is utilized effectively.
- Accountable for initiating incident investigations, uses standard Arcadium Lithium’s investigation processes and root causes analysis tools.
- Responsible for tracking, developing, and addressing quality cority events and customer complaints, involving assigned areas to include action items
- Participates in process hazard analysis and job task hazard analysis
- Responsible to assists the area manager as needed in implementing action items generated from area process hazard analyses.
- Responsible for ensuring area is compliant with RCRA and haz waste policies
- Responsible for trailer and cylinder inspection compliance
- Ensure paperwork for orders and shipments are accurate and complete
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Experience in effectively leading people in a manufacturing or packaging operation.
- Five + years’ experience leading people in operations with specific quality system adherence (ISO).
- Familiarity with PSM is preferred.
