Database Administrator to ensure our data systems run smoothly and efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the management, maintenance, and security of databases across multiple networks. Ensures databases are functioning efficiently while maintaining accurate, accessible, and secure data. Works closely with the System Architect/Engineer and/or Technical Subject Matter Expert to design, implement, modify, and maintain database infrastructure to meet databasing needs.
Required Skills / Experience:
• Active Top Secret Clearance • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline. Education substitution requires 5+ years’ experience as a database administrator responsible for large networks with multiple and complex databases with 500+ users • Experience as a database administrator responsible for the deployment and management of efficient database operations and processes. Responsible for performing database administration tasks, backups, and recoveries.
Comfortable working with users to resolve database questions or issues • Must have strong technical skills in database design, management, and security, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills to work effectively with other IT staff and stakeholders
