Texas Wood Supply is a Manufacturing Hardwood Moulding Company that operates 7 retail stores and 3 production sites throughout Texas. We are looking for a Carpenter with great hand dexterity and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will also have good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials and working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential.· Woodworker who specializes in crafting countertops(butcher blocks), stairs, arches and other detailed trims· Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to grasp the requirements fully· Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed· Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material (e.g., fiberglass) according to measurements· Be able to pass all auditable inspections· Completion of required scheduled tasks daily as assigned by the supervisor· Add fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges, and closures.· Record and track all jobs completed.Requirements

Requirements and Skills:

Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools
Must be able to use basic math skills
Have an understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
Must be at least 18 years of age
Be honest, reliability and transparency

Texas Wood Supply was originally started by two brothers in 1979 as Valley Carpenters Inc. in Mission, Texas. It soon changed to South Texas Moulding Inc. and moved to the current headquarters location in Donna, Texas in 1984. The genesis of the company was the need for hardwood moulding in South Texas for the growing residential home market. South Texas Moudling was the only company running moulding at that time south of San Antonio. The company expanded in the '90s and early 2000s from 1 to 6 locations in Brownsville, Mission, Corpus Christi, Laredo, and now in Houston. Over 200 million lineal feet of moulding has been run since the start of the company with employees that have been with the company since the '80s and '90s. Texas Wood Supply is a small, regional, privately owned business that's expanded from a couple of brothers, one moulder & a simple rip saw to a regional, privately owned business with over 70 employees, 6 stores, high-speed moulders, state-of-the-art laser optimizing rip saws, CNC routers and shapers and hundreds of years of combined experience.
