SMX is seeking a
Chief Technology Architect responsible for providing technical project oversight supporting the United States Army Intelligence Center of Excellence (ICoE) Chief Information Officer (CIO)/G6. The ICoE is responsible for the institutional training and education of Military Intelligence (MI) Soldiers and Leaders of all ranks. ICoE has the largest and most complex Information Technology (IT) architecture in Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), with a key component being the Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A).
Responsibilities & Essential Duties
- Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to advise and assist the Government with the development of plans for migration of ICoE DCGS-A systems to a new software version baseline.
- Lead advisor and oversight for maintaining all DCGS-A systems compliant with Cybersecurity controls, as directed by the system POA&M.
- Provides oversight in developing and maintaining the processes to move and ingest data into and from all DCGS-A Family of Systems components to support mission requirements, to include migration of products from paper form into digital form.
- Understands that system data must be tailored for and meet mission and training requirements of each individual course taught at ICoE, or the specific mission or event being supported.
- Provides training and assistance oversight relative to the hardware support, replacement, troubleshooting, software installation, software updates, and software fixes for the DCGS-A Family of Systems for ICoE instructors and other ICoE personnel, as required.
Required Skills and Experience
- Must hold a Bachelor degree (non-waiverable).
- Must have experience operating and designing classified networks at the Secret and Top Secret/SCI levels.
- Certified at the IAT Level III IAW DoD instruction 8570.1m.
- Must have familiarity with procedures for disposition, transport, handling, and maintenance of equipment operating at levels of security classification of Secret and above.
- Must be eligible for a TS/SCI security clearance.
Desired Qualifications
- 10 years experience with design of systems and networks, systems analysis, and software engineering. Experience with virtualization, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, thin/zero client technologies, client-server and storage systems.
- Extensive experience with network design.
- Experience with MacAfee HBSS, Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft Server 2012 R2, Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems, Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system.
- Experience with tactical military Intelligence systems (DCGS-A a bonus).
- Experience demonstrating the following certifications are a plus: Cisco Certified Network Assistant, Cisco Certified Network Professional, VMWare Certified Professional, NetApp Certified Administrator, NetApp Certified Implementation Storage Engineer, Microsoft Server 2012, and Microsoft Server 2016.
