In this role, you will prepare, record, analyze, and report accounting transactions, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial records. Your goal will be to deliver high-quality financial reporting, optimize processes, and support organizational goals in alignment with FORSHAW’s Mission, Vision, and Values.The ideal candidate for this position will have a proven track record of accounting expertise, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

- Prepare, review, and adjust journal entries while completing routine accounting activities.
- Analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with current accounting policies and practices.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Provide guidance to accounting team members in completing routine tasks.
- Complete ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support the broader finance group.
- Research technical accounting issues and communicate requirements to stakeholders.
- Assist in year-end audits and preparation of tax filings, including sales and local/federal income taxes.
- Engage in process improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and standard operating procedures.
- Contribute to departmental goals and lead or assist with special projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Accounting degree required; CPA designation is a plus.
- Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred.
- ERP experience desired (Company utilizes Microsoft Dynamics BC).
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong work ethic and ability to manage time wisely with attention to deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
