We are looking for a full-time Associate Creative Director/Art.The Associate Creative Director/Art mentors and supervises multiple art directors while helping to create outstanding work for clients. The ACD/Art develops and maintains good client relationships and maintains the high creative standards of the agency. They take their craft seriously, studying and refining their layouts, compositions, use of color, and type until achieving executional excellence.

An ACD/Art at Boundless is more than a master designer. They also know how to evaluate all aspects of creative work – strategic, conceptual, copy, and design – to push them to their highest potential. They distinguish the top 10% of concepts from the rest and improve upon them until they’re the top 1%. The ACD/Art should be able to communicate easily and effectively with both agency and client teams and be comfortable presenting and advocating for their work. Must be a self-motivated partner who can offer proactive solutions that deliver on the client’s strategic goals and work in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilties:

  • Leads by example byoriginating creative ideas, adhering to creative briefs, and collaborating closely with both internal teammates and clients

  • Mentors junior staff. Provides direction and coaching to grow junior and midlevel art directors and designers

  • Develops compelling designs and layouts, applies consistent style across brand materials with a meticulous eye for detail, and provides clear guidance to more junior art directors on how to do the same

  • Supervises photo shoots, illustration development, freelance designers and art directors, etc.

  • Ensures smooth internal workflows by utilizingeffective delegationand counsel as needed

  • Acts as a client liaisonbypresenting various stages of work to the client and effectively responding to client requests or inquiries in a timely manner

  • Works with a senior Copy partner to manage the creative workflows of larger initiatives such as brand launches or new business pitches

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of art direction experience in a creative agency with a minimum of 3 years in a supervising role

  • Minimum of 3 years in a specialized healthcare/pharmaceutical agency

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic or Visual Design, Communication Design, Creative Advertising, or related field

  • Portfolio of work that demonstrates both design skill and conceptual creativity

  • Understanding of and ability to work with scientific concepts and data

  • Expert skills in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Bonus points for a deeper stack.

  • Familiarity with digital design principles and best practices

  • Strong management skills

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to deliver efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Solid understanding of brand strategy, including positioning and identity
