About the Role:
Portfolio Specialist
Halo is hiring a Portfolio Specialist to partner with our Regional Vice Presidents and Enterprise Sales team. The role will focus on building relationships with and supporting registered investment advisors, registered representatives, CIOs and due diligence analysts. The successful individual will be expected to drive new business and revenue, advocating for Halo-provided solutions while providing support and guidance to sophisticated decision-makers in the investment advisory space.
In this role you will:
- Consult with RIA’s and registered representatives to educate and advise on portfolio construction, implementation and allocation based upon a detailed understanding of investment strategies, products and solutions offered by Halo
- Drive adoption and growth of Halo solutions, such as structured notes, fixed income, specialty Separately Managed Accounts
- Participate in prospect and client meetings, both virtually and in-person
- Contribute to the creation of educational materials and marketing collateral
- Leverage and optimize Halo’s platform analytics and technology to generate actionable investment insights
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with Halo’s internal sales, investment and operations partners for ongoing collaboration
- Always act in full compliance with all applicable policies, regulations, rules and laws
Successful candidates will have the following experience:
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience in financial services, focused on portfolio construction, asset allocation and investment selection for high net worth investors, advisors or institutions
- Prior successful experience working directly with high caliber IAR’s and registered reps in a sales, advisory or consultative capacity is required
- Deep understanding and prior experience with structured notes and derivatives is highly preferred
- Demonstrable track record of successfully leading and managing key client relationships
- Familiarity with a broad range of investment products and solutions
- Entrepreneurial spirit, willingness to embrace and lead change, and determination to find creative solutions to problems
- Technical skills, including strong investment acumen with an understanding and passion for financial markets, derivatives, and a detailed understanding of portfolio construction techniques and investment processes
- Skilled at managing relationships, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present investment material confidently to clients
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field. Advanced education/certifications (MBA, CFP, CAIA, CFA) strongly preferred but not required
- Licensing: Series 7 and 65/66 required; may consider candidates expecting to complete licensing within 90 days of start date
