Position Overview:
Zifo is looking for a talented Application Analyst for the LATAM region to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will design, implement, and support the configuration of Sapio LIMS, including Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN). You will work closely with pharmaceutical and biotech clients to gather requirements, provide solutions, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
***This role offers a blend of remote and in-office work, which will require the ideal candidate to engage regularly with clients and our fantastic team in Mexico City.***
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and document requirements from clients to tailor scientific applications to their needs.
- Use Java programing to develop and implement solutions using Sapio LIMS and other informatics platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project execution.
- Review / Test / UAT components and other deliverables. Evaluate and mitigate technical challenges during implementation and customization.
- Understand configuration management process. Provide ongoing support and training to users to optimize application performance.
- Lead, coordinate and run independently Demos and Workshops with internal and external clients.
Required Skills:
- Excellent Java Programming skills complemented by an ability to listen to and interpret client requests
- Excellent customer service skills geared towards anticipating clients needs, risk mitigating strategies and results oriented mindset.
- Java (Core Java) – Strong understanding of OOP, data structure and other java concepts.
- Should have exposure to - Git (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket), Jenkins.
- Should have experience working with IntelliJ IDEA / Eclipse.
- Should have exposure to REST webservices.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex instrument and technology issues.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Ability to identify, track and complete tasks for multiple projects.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices as defined by the company and/or customer’s site safety code.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in computer science, life science or equivalent industry experience
- 3+ years of relevant technical experience including (but not limited to) Java Programming, Windows technologies, networking, remote computing and backup systems
- Excellent customer service skills complemented by an ability to listen to and interpret client requests
- Ability to troubleshoot complex instrument and technology issues
- Strong oral and written communication skill in English and Spanish
- Ability to identify, track and complete tasks for multiple projects
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices as defined by the company and/or customer’s site safety code
- Expertise with multiple programming languages, preferably Java, Python and/or C#
- Experience with scientific instrumentation (preferred)
