About This Role
The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and work closely with HR leadership in supporting ESi. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, performance management, team leader recruitment, policy implementation, learning and development, affirmative action and employment law compliance. Partners with leadership and employees to facilitate solutions for issues that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance management, productivity, recognition
- Maintains compliance by reviewing, tracking, and documenting mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Conducts internal investigations, summarizes evidence, and recommends appropriate action needed, and communicates with relevant leadership
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations where appropriate
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all employees.
- Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual, tracking and ensuring employee acknowledgements are maintained.
- Coordinates and facilitates new leadership positions, making recommendations on selection and creating career development plans.
- Assists with Merger and Acquisition process for employee integration.
- Coordinates the two promotion cycles by communicating with leaders and tracking approval process
- Partners with Benefits Team on escalated ADA accommodation requests
- Ensure accurate and secure maintenance of individual personnel records
- Timely communication of all employee changes with the Payroll & Benefit Team
- Manages two performance management cycles from start to finish.
- Develops and maintains affirmative action program; Partners with Payroll & Benefits and recruiting to obtain data in order to file EEO-1 report annually; maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations. Vets-4212, California Pay, etc.
- Create onboarding/orientation survey and collects/organizes data to help improve processes
- Conduct exit interviews as needed, manage separation feedback, and respond to all employment reviews. Provide constructive feedback to leaders and team members to improve recruitment and retention.
- Aids in the creation of temporary and regular part-time agreements.
- Annual creation of firm’s holiday schedule
- Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Facilitates training on HR related topics.
- Responds to unemployment information requests and attends unemployment appeals and hearings as necessary.
- Facilitates employee survey including communications and action planning with leadership.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 3 to 5 years’ HR Generalist or HRBP experience.
- SHRM-CP or HCRI a plus
- California Law HR Specialty Credential a plus
- Knowledge of Washington State Employment Law a plus

- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Experience with HCM platforms (ADP Workforce Now preferred)
